About Experience :
As a component of the Btec level 3 Games Development course, I was tasked to undertake some QA testing on the indie game, Red Awakening, prior to its release. Working as part of a team, I carried out several hundred run throughs, each focused upon a different style of game play. This was required in order to identify any glitches or bugs that I encountered and isolate their exact location. This information then formed the basis for my end report, as requested by Domino Effect.
About Red Awakening :
Red Awakening is an online campaign based multiplayer stealth / action game being built on Unreal Engine 4.
A surreal blend of neon drenched, drug induced, satirical storytelling with first-person dynamic stealth, parkour style movement, ultra-violent gameplay and an unnerving synth soundtrack, all wrapped in our distinctive cell shaded graphical style, featuring a gritty soundtrack by acclaimed composer Ryan Ike (Gunpoint) and the popular EDM artist SirensCeol (Monstercat).
The game focuses on horror, stealth and subterfuge, rather than the familiar first-person run-and-gun approach, instead taking influences from the classic Slasher movies of the 1980’s, and game-play inspired by the first person and stealth games of the early 90’s to mid-2000’s.
